Pasta Frola or Quince pie recipe

Busy days in my kitchen. Cold and chilly days are here. Soooo inviting to be between pots and pans.
Días ocupados en mi cocina. Los días fríos ya están aquí, invitan a andar entre ollas y sartenes.

Now in my freezer there are two jars of lemon curd. Recipe thanks to Celia.
This lemon curd made in the microwave is fantastic!
Six lemons, gift from a dear friend are now inside these jars.

En mi freezer desde ayer, dos tarros de lemon curd. Gracias a la fantástica receta de Celia para hacerlo en el microondas.
Los seis limones fueron un regalo de una querida amiga.

 A quince jam pie is just out of the oven.
On Saturday there´ll be a family reunion at tea time.... and then...football, the "Copa América".

Una pasta frola recien salida del horno.
El sábado habrá reunión familiar a la hora del te y luego fútbol por TV, la Copa América.

Pasta Frola

Pasta Frola recipe

For the pastry: 

125 grs butter

1 cup sugar

2 cups flour

1 egg

1 tsp baking power

Mix everything together and knead it until forming a smooth dough.

Put the dough into a pie dish, don´t panic if it breaks just squish it back together again.

Cover the dough with quince jam.

Then to the oven till it´s ready. More or less, 25 minutes, but it depends on your oven.

A new month is here.

May was a busy one, but now I´m trying my best to catch up with bloggers all over the world because....IMK is here again.

Wonderful monthly event created by Celia. Here I learnt to bake bread from sourdough, I read amazing posts from other bloggers and travelled in my mind to Sidney (Australia).

Lots of lemons from a friend´s tree...... lemon curd in a near future!

Sourdough fruit loaves trying to grow.....
Mafalda (Priscilla´s relative!) is an amazing starter.

And a foggy and humid, autumn day.















My sunny little yard is dark and humid too.












Not much more going on, just my usual knitting, gardening and reading.
